IMPS (Immediate Payment Service)

Immediate Payment Service (IMPS) is an instant electronic fund transfer service that enables customers to transfer money securely between bank accounts anytime, anywhere. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays, making it one of the fastest and most convenient digital payment methods in India.

IMPS allows customers to transfer funds using various methods such as the beneficiary's Account Number and IFSC Code, Mobile Number and MMID, or other supported banking channels like Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, ATMs, and Bank Branches (where available).

The transferred amount is credited to the beneficiary's account immediately, subject to network availability and the beneficiary bank's systems. Every successful transaction generates a unique transaction reference number that can be used for future tracking and support.
